Virginia Turner Hess


Virginia T. Hess offers a full spectrum of services for small- and medium-sized businesses. She assists businesses during the entire life cycle, from formation as sole proprietorships, corporations or LLCs, to sale or dissolution. This includes advocacy, counsel and advice in areas of management, real property sales and acquisition, employment, leasing, ownership and litigation, to name a few.

In addition to for-profit business clients, Ms. Hess’s passion extends to the non-profit arena. Her experience in non-profit agencies extends beyond legal advice into the practicalities of organizational day-to-day management and boardroom dynamics. She has been a board member of many non-profit agencies in the Bay Area for over 25 years. She has served as President and Chair of the Board of the Addison–Penzak Jewish Community Center of Silicon Valley for two terms and also as a board member of the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley.  She is currently on the board of Jewish Silicon Valley, a merged entity of the Addison–Penzak Jewish Community Center of Silicon Valley and the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley.  This “cross training” makes her uniquely qualified to represent non-profit entities.

Ms. Hess received her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, in 1976, with Highest Honors. She received her J.D.-M.B.A. joint degree from the University of Santa Clara in 1980.
